The Raid director’s next film has been picked up by Netflix







The film follows a man who travels to a remote island and attempts to rescue his sister after she’s kidnapped by a religious cult. The group demands a ransom for the sister’s return, undermining the man’s resolve to rescue her.
From that it is hard to tell whether there will be any of the fantastic action scenes that Evans did so well in The Raid movies. However, it is a great cast and the plot synopsis hints at many different ways this can go. I also wonder what period this will be set in?
Netflix keep on staking their claim in the world of movies and original content.
Filming is schdeuled to begin in April, with XYZ Films, Severn Screen and Evans’ One More One Production producing.
