Watch Dave Bautista in the new trailer for The Warrior’s Gate

Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen wrote the screenplay for The Warrior’s Gate. The film is directed by Matthias Hoene and stars Sienna Guillory, Dave Bautista, Uriah Shelton, Mark Chao, Ni Ni and Ron Smoorenburg. Besson’s EuropaCorp and the Chinese Fundamental Films are producing the film.

A teenager is magically transported to China and learns to convert his video game skills into those of a Kung Fu warrior.

The set up is kind of like a fantasy version of The Last Starfighter.

The film will open in France later this month with other international markets to follow.
