Rogue One had the biggest UK opening of 2016







Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has taken a phenomenal estimated £17M at the UK and Irish Box Office over the 4 day weekend and has seen an estimated 75% of UK audiences join the Rebellion. The first of the Star Wars standalone films has become the second biggest December opening of all time (behind The Force Awakens) and the biggest opening of 2016 in UK.
In the US, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” has also become the second biggest December opening of all time (behind The Force Awakens) with an estimated $155M. Globally the film delivered a truly out of this world $290.5M, opening at #1 in every country in release.

From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new epic adventure. “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” is directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, with Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker. Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel are producing, with John Knoll and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers. “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” is in UK and Irish cinemas now.
