The Blade Runner sequel may have a trailer out next week

Blade Runner 2049 is the title for Alcon Entertainment’s sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1982 Blade Runner. The new film   stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Dave Bautista, Ana de Armas, David Dastmalchian, Hiam Abbass, Jared Leto and Robin Wright. It is to be directed by Denis Villeneuve (Sciario, Prisoners).

The sequel is set several decades after the 1982 original, with Harrison Ford reprising his iconic role as Rick Deckard. The film is written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, and succeeds the initial story by Fancher and David Peoples based on Philip K. Dick’s novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.

It looks like we will be getting a trailer for the film sooner than we thought. Trailer Track have news that the trailer has been given a rating and will be 1 and a half minutes long.

They think it may be attached to Passengers, which is due out next week.

As soon as the trailer makes it online I will get it posted on Live for Films.

In an episode of the After The Ending podcast I do, we went after the ending of the original Blade Runner and gave on our thoughts as to what could happen in the sequel. You can listen to that below. I wonder if we got close?
