Jodie Foster is set to enter Hotel Artemis

Jodie Foster is set to star in Hotel Artemis. This near-future sci-fi thriller will be Drew Pearce’s (Iron Man 3 and Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation) directorial debut and a return for Foster in front of the camera after having focused on directing for the past few years.

Pearce also wrote the script which is set in its own distinct crime universe. Foster will play a character called The Nurse. There are not other plot details at the moment.

Drew Pearce said, “Jodie Foster is an icon, pure and simple. She’s an extraordinary artist, and to be working with one of the all-time greats on my first feature as a director is an absolute honor.”

The Ink Factory’s Simon and Stephen Cornwell are producing with Marc Platt Productions’ Adam Siegel and Marc Platt. Pearce will executive produce through Point of No Return.

“Casting Jodie Foster is a real coup. She is an extraordinary talent and will bring something very special to the film. We are delighted to welcome her to this exciting production,” said The Ink Factory’s Stephen Cornwell. “Drew’s vision is unique and we can’t wait to see it brought to life by a stellar cast.”

Said Platt, “Jodie and I have enjoyed a long professional and personal relationship that dates back to our days together at Orion where we collaborated on ‘The Silence of the Lambs’ and her directorial debut, ‘Little Man Tate.’ She is an accomplished artist in every way, and Adam and I look forward to collaborating with her on Drew’s directorial debut.”
