Principal photography started this week on Christian James’ vampire prison comedy Fanged Up, shooting on location in Portsmouth.

FANGED UP is helmed by Daniel “Dapper Laughs” O’ Reilly, supported by a host of entertainment talent including acclaimed British actor Stephen Berkoff (44 Inch Chest, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, A Clockwork Orange), WWE Wrestler Stu Bennett aka ‘Wade Barrett’, BAFTA award winner, Lauren Socha (Misfits), Eastenders’ break-out Danielle Harold and boxing legend Joe Egan (Sherlock Holmes).

When lovable rogue Jimmy Ragsdale is thrown into Stokesville Prison for the weekend, little does he know that the inmates within have been hand-picked by the staff for their consumption. The Governor and his guards are actually blood-sucking vampires. So, now wise-cracking Jimmy must team up with the banged up to take on the …FANGED UP!

Also starring are Big Brother star Chris R. Wright, Vas Blackwood (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Mean Machine), Stephen Marcus (Fast & Furious 6), Roland Manookian (Rock n Rolla, Football Factory, The Business), Terry Stone (Anuvahood, Rise of the Footsoldier), Huw Samuel (Brotherhood, Pride) and Youtube star Anto Sharp.

The feature is co-written by Daniel O’ Reilly, Nick Nevern (Terry, The Hooligan Factory) and Dan Palmer (Stalled, Freak Out).

FANGED UP is a wholly British production, produced by Terry Stone (Doghouse, Saving Santa & Anuvahood) and Richard Turner (Nativity, Best Laid Plans & Away), with Chris Howard (Plastic, The Messenger) as Executive Producer. The production is financed by Investor Profit Portfolio and The Wealth Advisory.

“We are both really excited to have partnered together on this exciting comedy horror, which is squarely aimed at the 15 – 25 year old cinema going market. We’re pleased to have cast an exciting mix of social influencers alongside some of Britain’s best comedy and dramatic actors.” Commented Terry Stone and Richard Turner.
