Marvel’s Iron Fist hits Netflix in March 2017 and The Punisher begins filming

Marvel's Iron Fist

Marvel’s Iron Fist

I have finished Marvel’s Luke Cage and it was another stupendous show. They’re really knocking it out of the park with the Netflix shows. Luke Cage was a slow burner, but built up nicely and Mike Colter was superb as Cage. A calm, intelligent man just trying to do the right thing.

Loved all the comic book references and how they got the original 1970s Power Man outfit on Colter was great. It also teased the next show, Marvel’s Iron Fist, with Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) picking up the number for Colleen Wing.

Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist.

The Netflix original series Marvel’s Iron Fist is the fourth of four epic live-action adventure series (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Jessica Jones and Marvel’s Luke Cage which are now streaming, all leading up to the teaming of the main characters in Marvel’s The Defenders) to premiere only on Netflix. The drama will premiere with thirteen one-hour episodes.

Netflix have released this little teaser which shows we have only got a few months to wait as Iron Fist will be with us on 17th March 2017.

I cannot wait to see it.

Jon Bernthal has also started filming in New York on The Punisher Netflix show and he is sporting a different look for some of the scenes. Great times for Marvel zombies.
