Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man is coming back with the “Return to the Spider-Verse” storyline. Turns out that Spider-Gwen will be making her debut on the show. She will be voiced by Dove Cameron (Liv and Maddie, Descendants). In the comic books Spider-Gwen was the Gwen Stacy of Earth-65, an alternate Earth that debuted in Edge of Spider-Verse #2 as part of the 2014–15 Spider-Man event Spider-Verse. Spider-Gwen explores a universe where Gwen Stacy was bitten by the radioactive spider instead of Peter Parker, forcing her into a career as the Spider-Woman of her world.

According to IGN, the fourth season of the animated shows, titled Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man vs. the Sinister Six, is about to begin the new, four-part storyline, which will find Spider-Man, joined by Miles Morales, once again encountering many more alternate reality Spideys. The storyline will feature Ben Diskin as Blood Spider, Christopher Daniel Barnes (who was the voice of Spider-Man in the 1990s animated series) as Wolf Spider, Will Friedle will voice Web Beard, Troy Baker will voice Webslinger, the Spider Cowboy. Milo Ventimiglia will be back role as Spider-Man Noir There will be some other comic book characters popping up – Rocket Raccoon (Trevor Devall, reprising his role from the Guardians of the Galaxy animated series), and Howard the Duck who will be voiced by Seth Green. He was Howard’s voice in his cameo in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man vs. the Sinister Six: “Return to the Spider-Verse: Part One” airs Saturday, August 27th at 8:00pm ET/PT on Disney XD, followed by Part Two on September 3rd, Part Three on September 10th and Part Four, with Spider-Gwen’s debut, on September 17th.
