Mr. Robot – You will soon be able to own Elliot’s journal

Readers can step inside MR. ROBOT, the award-winning USA Network/Universal Cable Productions series, with MR. ROBOT: Red Wheelbarrow, based on Elliot’s journal which is featured throughout Season 2 of the series.  Co-written by series creator and showrunner Sam Esmail and series writer Courtney Looney, MR. ROBOT: Red Wheelbarrow (Abrams Books; November 1, 2016; £18.99; Hardcover) is the personal notebook of Elliot Alderson, the show’s lead character, and is the fan’s access into his complex psyche.

Before and during the events of season two, Elliot recorded his most private thoughts in his journal. Readers can experience Elliot’s battles to gain control of his life and his struggles to survive increasingly dangerous circumstances in a brand new story rendered in his own words. The journal also holds seven removable artifacts—a ripped-out page, newspaper clipping, mysterious envelope, and more—along with sketches throughout the book. MR. ROBOT:  Red Wheelbarrow reveals both the story behind the current season of MR. ROBOT and hints of what is to come. This book is the ultimate journey into the world of the show—and a key to hacking the mind of its main character.

MR. ROBOT, currently airing its second season on USA Network and Amazon Prime, follows Elliot Alderson (Malek, “The Pacific”), a cyber-security engineer who becomes involved in the underground hacker group fsociety, after being recruited by their mysterious leader (Slater, “Nymphomaniac”).  The series also stars Portia Doubleday (“Her”), Carly Chaikin (“Suburgatory”) Martin Wallström (“Simple Simon”), Grace Gummer (“The Newsroom”), Michael Cristofer (“Ray Donovan”) and Stephanie Corneliussen (“Legends of Tomorrow”).

MR. ROBOT has received three Golden Globe® Award nominations and two wins including Best Drama, a Peabody Award, four Critics’ Choice® Award nominations and three wins, and two Writers Guild® Award nominations and one win for Best New Series.

MR. ROBOT hails from writer and executive producer Esmail (“Comet”), as well as Anonymous Content executive producers Steve Golin (“True Detective”) and Chad Hamilton (“Breakup at a Wedding”).  The series, airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on USA Network and is produced by Universal Cable Productions.
