Max von Sydow is a priest once more in the Letters From Mother Teresa trailer

I know I shouldn’t, but seeing Max von Sydow as a priest immediately makes me think of The Exorcist. Not something that would normally spring to mind when considering a film about Mother Teresa! Getting past that, there are three incredible actors involved in this. Check out the trailer and an exclusive clip below.
Starring Juliet Stevenson, Rutger Hauer and Max von Sydow, Letters From Mother Teresa spans over forty years of Mother Teresa’s incredible journey – from joining the Sisters of Loreto in Dublin to her travels to Darjeeling, from hearing the call to help the poorest of the poor to founding the Missionaries of Charity, from her invaluable sacrifices in the slums of Calcutta to her receiving the Nobel Peace Prize.
Mother Teresa (Juliet Stevenson), recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, is considered one of the greatest humanitarians of modern times. Her selfless commitment changed hearts, lives and inspired millions throughout the world. The film is told through personal letters she wrote over the last forty years of her life and reveal a troubled and vulnerable woman who grew to feel an isolation and an abandonment by God. The story is told from the point of view of a Vatican priest (Max von Sydow) charged with the task of investigating acts and events following her death. He recounts her life’s work, her political oppression, her religious zeal, and her unbreakable spirit.
The film is out on DVD from 29th August 2016.
