Talulah Riley’s Scottish Mussel gets a release date

Written, directed by and starring British filmmaker Talulah Riley (St.Trinian’s) SCOTTISH MUSSEL tells the story of Ritchie (Martin Compston), a Glaswegian chancer with low hopes and no prospects. Disillusioned with city‐life, he goes undercover at a Highland conservation centre to make his fortune as an illegal pearl fisher with the help of his two hapless and accident-prone mates, Danny (Joe Thomas) and Fraser (Paul Brannigan). But his plan goes awry when he meets Beth (Riley), a pretty English conservationist passionate about saving endangered mussels from the clutches of pearl thieves, and falls for her instantly…

SCOTTISH MUSSEL, starring Martin Compston (Filth, Line of Duty), Joe Thomas (The Inbetweeners Movie), Morgan Watkins (Kingsmen: The Secret Service), and Paul Brannigan (Under the Skin, Sunshine on Leith) will receive a limited theatrical release on Friday September 23rd and will be available on DVD and Digital HD Monday 3rd October, 2016.

Alongside Riley and Compston, SCOTTISH MUSSEL boasts cameos from Harry Enfield, Rufus Hound and Russell Kane. The film also stars Emun Elliot and Marianna Palka.
