Stephen Amell’s Green Arrow is putting together a new team for Arrow Season 5. Looks like he is taking a group of vigilantes and turning them into heroes. However, although it does seem to be going back to basics, there will be some mysticism still in the show.

Joe Dinicol will portray Rory Regan, the mystical DC Comics vigilante known as Ragman. Fresh from a personal tragedy, Rory hopes to find answers in Star City, where he ultimately crosses paths with Green Arrow (Stephen Amell).

Josh Segarra (Chicago P.D.) has been added as DA Adrian Chase aka Vigilante; Chad L. Coleman (The Wire) as gangster Tobias Church; Rick Gonzalez (Reaper) will play the DC Comics vigilante Wild Dog, Tyler Ritter (The McCarthys) as SCPD Detective Malone, Carly Pope (Popular) will play Coast City reporter Susan Williams and Madison McLaughlin will reprise her role as Evelyn Crawford — and her new superhero persona, Artemis.

While at Comic Con there was news on the big bad of the season.

“He’s a new character. He’s our big bad for the year. We call him Prometheus [but] it’s not the Grant Morrison/Howard Porter character,” Marc Guggenhiem said. “He’s pretty badass.”

“With Laurel being gone, it’s incredibly important for the team to move forward, remembering that legacy and honoring it,”
producer Wendy Mericle said. “We will definitely see [Katie] Cassidy in the season premiere.” She added that Cassidy has a deal like John Barrowman and Wentworth Miller, where she appears across all of The CW’s DC comic book shows.

Arrow will return to The CW on Wednesday, October 5 at 8 pm EST.
