Willem Dafoe joins Sean Baker’s The Florida Project

Sean Baker made his debut with the critically acclaimed film, Tangerine. He made that using iPhones, but for his next film he shoot it in 35mm.
The new film is called The Florida Project and is the second film attached to Andrew Duncan and Alex Saks’ production outfit June Pictures.
Willem Dafoe has signed up for the film, which is about a precocious 6-year-old and her rag-tag group of close friends whose summer break is filled with childhood wonder, possibility, and a sense of adventure, while their parents and the adults around them struggle with hard times.
Baker and his Tangerine co-writer Chris Bergoch wrote the screenplay.
The Florida Project is currently filming in Orlando.
