Bill Skarsgård (Hemlock Grove) is the new Pennywise, for the latest adaptation of Stephen King’s It, which will be two films.

He will be joining Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs and Jeremy Ray Taylor. Of course Tim Curry played Pennywise in the 1990 miniseries so Bill has got a big act to follow.

The story follows a group of teens called the Losers Club who defeat a creature called It. Years later, the creature returns, and the former club members, now adults, have to band together again even though they have no memory of the first battle.

Andy Muschietti (Mama), is directing. Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Seth Grahame-Smith, David Katzenberg and Barbara Muschietti are producing. The first movie will tell the kids’ story, while the second movie will focus on the adults.

EW had the first image of the killer clown. What do you think of it?
