Animatsu Entertainment is excited to announce the UK home video release of cult production company Rooster Teeth’s first ever feature film, Lazer Team. Launching on August 15, this upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release is a special Director’s Cut – never seen in cinemas. One of the biggest crowdfunded films of all time, Lazer Team raised over $2.4m on Indiegogo, grossed over $1.6m at the global box office and reached £170k in the UK with zero marketing support!

Lazer Team is the story of four small-town losers who, after stumbling across an alien crash site containing an incredible battle suit, soon find themselves responsible for the fate of the entire planet. With this new alien equipment genetically bound to them, and the government hot on their heels, the foursome have no choice but to work together as one to save humanity. All they have to do is learn to use a strange alien device meant for only one-person, train for a battle against an omnipotent enemy, and not kill each other in the process. They may not be strong, smart, or talented… but they’re Lazer Team.

Lazer Team is directed by Rooster Teeth co-founder and CEO, Matt Hullum (Red vs. Blue) and written by Rooster Teeth co-founder Burnie Burns along with Chris Demarais and Joshua Flanagan.
