First Look: Jacob Tremblay in Colin Trevorrow’s The Book of Henry

The Book of Henry is a new film directed by Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed, Jurassic World, Star Wars Episode IX). The film stars Naomi Watts, Jacob Tremblay, Jaeden Lieberher and Maddie Ziegler. Tremblay did wonderful things in Room so it will be good to see him in this.

Jaeden Lieberher plays Henry, Tremblay is his brother Peter.

The story concerns a precocious boy, Henry, and his younger brother, Peter, being raised by their single mother, Susan. Henry has a crush on their neighbor Christina, the daughter of the Police Commissioner. To protect Christina from harm at the hands of her father, Henry comes up with a plan to rescue her that he writes down in a book. Henry’s mother discovers the book and decides that she and Peter will put Henry’s scheme into motion.

“I wanted to do something that scared the hell out of me”
Trevorrow said about the film. “An acoustic movie with intense emotion. The challenge was to give an audience the same tension and thrills they get from a blockbuster, but rely solely on story and character to do it.”
