Season 3 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ended with a big change in the status quo. Inhumans are everywhere, Daisy is on the run and Coulson is no longer Director.

However, this new tease for Season 4 could suggest that things may be going to the supernatural side of the Marvel Universe. It is a promo image on the side of a train and it is teasing Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. being at this years San Diego Comic Con. Could we be seeing Ghost Rider?

Get Fired Up!

There have been rumours that Ghost Rider could be showing up for a Marvel TV show. The Netflix shows are slowly introducing supernatural elements and the Iron Fist series should have even more. There is also rumours floating around that when they form The Defenders they could be going up against Mephisto.

Ghost Rider has used a fiery chain many times so that to could be a clue and it would be a good change for the show to move in as the past couple have featured the Inhumans. It would also be great to see Ghost Rider done properly after the couple of lousy films he has been in. However, I could see him being expensive to do for the TV show.

The only other option I can think of is that the could be making a big deal of the Hellfire character who was introduced in Season 3. He was the guy played by Axle Whitehead who could make things blow up. He also uses a fiery chain as you can see in the image below.

It just seems odd that they would be using a character who has already been introduced to build hype for the next season. Unless they have big plans for him.

Personally I would love it to be Ghost Rider as I love the character.

Who do you think will be wielding the fiery chain?
