This summer, prepare to lose yourself in love’s young bohemian dream as Signature Entertainment present hotly anticipated, coming of age British feature Kids In Love, arriving in UK cinemas nationwide and on demand from 26th August 2016 followed by DVD on August 29th. Kids In Love will have its world premiere at Edinburgh International Film Festival 2016 in June, where it has been selected in official competition for the prestigious ‘Best of British’ category.

From the producers of Spiceworld and St Trinian’s, the cool British indie film is shot and set in West London and stars Will Poulter (The Revenant, We’re The Millers, The Maze Runner), Alma Jodorowsky (Blue is the Warmest Colour, Damocles, Juillet-Aout), Cara Delevingne (Suicide Squad, Pan, Paper Towns), Jamie Blackley (If I Stay, Snow White and the Huntsman, The Fifth Estate), Sebastian De Souza (The Borgias, Skins), Preston Thompson and Gala Gordon (White Island, Endeavour).

Set against the backdrop of an underground, bohemian London, Kids In Love offers a new take on the traditional coming of age story. Drifting through his gap year with its internships and travel plans, Jack (Will Poulter) has always suspected there was more to life than this. A chance encounter with the beautiful and ethereal Evelyn (Alma Jodorowsky) and her friends, including free spirited Viola (Cara Delevingne), swerves his life radically off course. She is like no one he’s ever met before, and he quickly becomes caught up in a whirlwind of all-day parties and wild nights in London’s hidden dives with her charismatic friends. Giving up everything to follow Evelyn and her hedonistic lifestyle, it takes Jack a while to realise what he’s leaving behind, that love isn’t a game you want to lose and that these people might not be the kindred spirits he first thought. The film features scenes from the iconic Notting Hill Carnival as well as hip Soho nightclub, The Box.

Kids In Love is produced by Barnaby Thompson and Ben Latham-Jones and directed by Chris Foggin, marking his directional debut. The screenplay is by Preston Thompson and Sebastian De Souza. Kids In Love will have its world premiere at Edinburgh International Film Festival 2016 in June, where it has been selected in official competition for the prestigious ‘Best of British’ category.

Mirroring the rising star cast that feature in the film, the soundtrack for Kids In Love includes tracks by Universal Records’ Eliza And The Bear, who created a title track exclusively for the film. Entitled, Kids in Love, the track has since been billed by the music industry as one of the best the band have produced to date and will be released as a single this summer. Other Universal Records artists featuring on the soundtrack include: Wolf Alice, Norma Jean Martine, The Parrots, Mura Masa, Dornik and Sigma.

Director, Chris Foggin, said: “When I first read the script for Kids In Love, I was immediately taken with the idea that this could be a touchstone for the modern teenage generation. The ethos of the film has always been ‘a film about kids, by kids’ and we think the subject matter, together with this vibrant, of-the-moment cast will really strike a chord with today’s youth audience. We are super excited about the collaboration with Universal Records’ Eliza and the Bear – their new anthemic title track looks set to be a huge hit the summer.”

Will Poulter said, “Kids In Love was a passion project for me personally and I know everyone working on it felt the same way. A lot of heart was put into this movie and I think that heart definitely translates on screen.”

Kids In Love will be released in the UK by Signature Entertainment. London-based Carnaby International is handling worldwide rights for the film.
