Agent Carter cancelled, Supergirl renewed & Marvel’s Most Wanted is a non-starter

agent carterGood news for DC fans, bad news for Marvel fans.

It seems that Agent Carter will not be getting renewed over at ABC. A damn shame as it was a lovely show and Hayley Atwell was brilliant as Peggy Carter. However, she is staying with ABC as she will be starring in a new show called Conviction. A pity there is no third season as the last one ended on a cliffhanger.

Hopefully, we will get to see Atwell as Carter at some point in the future. She turned up at the beginning of Ant-Man so who knows what will happen. The character was great and it was good to see SHIELD slowly coming together.

Marvel’s Most Wanted, the Agents of SHIELD spin-off planned to star Adrianne Palicki’s Bobbi Morse (AKA Mockingbird) and Nick Blood’s Lance Hunter, will not be moving forward at the ABC either.

There is some good news though as Agents of SHIELD has been given a fourth season.

Again, a shame as those two characters were always good to watch, and their final episode on Agents of SHIELD was very touching. Like Agent Carter we will hopefully see the two characters again.

ABC have also cancelled Castle, Nashville, The FamilyGalavant, and The Muppets.

However, DC are doing better on TV as Supergirl has been renewed for a second season. There had been some doubt due to the cost of each episode – $3 Million! It seems things have been sorted out, but the show will be moving from CBS to The CW.

That could actually be great news as The CW is also home to Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow so hopefully we will be getting more Supergirl crossovers. Supergirl has previously aired Mondays on CBS. It has not yet been revealed whether Supergirl season 2 will air at the same time.
