"No matter where you go, there you are."

The Magnificent Seven gets a poster

Director Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, The Equalizer, Southpaw) brings his modern vision to a classic story in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures’ and Columbia Pictures’ The Magnificent Seven.

The first poster was spotted at CinemaCon. Oh, and before anyone goes “why are they remaking a classic Hollywood Western?” I will simply whisper “Seven Samurai.”

Yep, let us not forget that The Magnificent Seven was a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai and shows that you can have good remakes. Let’s just wait and see what this new one is like.

With the town of Rose Creek under the deadly control of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard), the desperate townspeople employ protection from seven outlaws, bounty hunters, gamblers and hired guns – Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Jack Horne (Vincent D’Onofrio), Billy Rocks (Byung-Hun Lee), Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier). As they prepare the town for the violent showdown that they know is coming, these seven mercenaries find themselves fighting for more than money.

The film also stars Matt Bomer, Jason Momoa, Wagner Moura and Hayley Bennett.

It opens on 23rd September 2016.

I am really looking forward to this.
