Fred Armisen is voicing Krang in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows

During the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows Wondercon panel, producers Andrew Form and Brad Fuller announced that Fred Armisen (Portlandia, SNL is going to be voicing Krang in the sequel to the 2014 film.
Krang was originally a warlord from Dimension X who commanded an army of Rock Soldiers under the leadership of General Traag and Lieutenant Granitor. He took the completed Technodrome (a powerful mobile battle fortress) for himself, and then banished Drakus (who helped Krang build it) to Earth. Eventually, Krang would be banished from Dimension X as well, but not before being stripped of his body and reduced to a brain like-form.
Krang was always a bizarre character and having him turn up in a live action movie should be rather strange. However, having Armisen voice him should lead to good things.
Megan Fox and Will Arnett lead the cast for the film that also includes William Fichtner as Eric Sacks and newcomers Laura Linney, Tyler Perry as scientist Baxter Stockman, WWE Star Sheamus as Rocksteady, Gary Anthony Williams as Bebop, Brittany Ishibashi as Karai, with Stephen Amell as the sports-themed vigilante Casey Jones and Brian Tee as Shredder. Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, and Noel Fisher will reprise their roles as Raphael, Donatello, Leonardo, and Michelangelo.
David Green directs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadowswhich is set for release on June 3, 2016.
