Critical Role’s Kickstarter for The Legend of Vox Machina Animated Special hit its goal in under an hour

I do love a game of Dungeons & Dragons and I have been running a long campaign for the past couple of years. I also enjoy watching Critical Role, which is a voice of nerdy ass voice actors, who do amazing things with their D&D game.

Critical Role is a weekly livestreamed Dungeons & Dragons game featuring a group of prominent voice actors, who happen to be best friends. Each week, veteran Dungeon Master Matthew Mercer leads the cast through epic adventures set in the world of Exandria!

They are currently on a new campaign, but they are working on an Animated Special featuring their team of heroes, Vox Machina, from the first campaign.

The original storyline centered on a group of heroes known as Vox Machina — Pike Trickfoot (gnome cleric, Ashley Johnson), Keyleth (half-elf druid, Marisha Ray), Percival “Percy” Fredrickstein Von Musel Klossowski de Rolo III (human gunslinger, Taliesin Jaffe), Grog Strongjaw (goliath barbarian, Travis Willingham), Scanlan Shorthalt (gnome bard, Sam Riegel), Vex’ahlia (half-elf ranger, Laura Bailey), and Vax’ildan (half-elf rogue, Liam O’Brien) — as they battled the forces of evil and learned to work as a team. Their epic tale concluded in November, 2017 after 115 episodes and 373 hours of gameplay.

The Kickstarter for the special began today and hit its target of $750,000 in under an hour of the campaign launching today. Well it actually smashed it as it raised over $1,000,000 in under an hour!

Watching the original campaign was so good and the fact we will get to see the characters in a cartoon is freaking amazing. I cannot wait!

Is it Thursday yet?
