Tom Hanks had to ad-lib for 5 minutes during a performance of Henry IV in Los Angeles

“No intermission brew for you!”

A medical crisis during the performance of Henry IV at the Shakespeare Center in Los Angeles did not stop the show from going on as Tom Hanks entertained the audience for almost five minutes.

Hanks played Falstaff in the production when the medical emergency occurred. People began to get up and leave when Hanks ran back on stage and kept things going.

The audience member, suffering from a hydration issue, was eventually driven to his home by friends.
